I meant to post this last week or so, but time flies, doesn't it?
Just wanted to show the progress on the big loom that has the green silk warp, and right now the fine copper thread weft in the tapestry area. Lately though, I've been weaving more at my little loom for whatever reason (my guess is that it goes quicker! since there's no tapestry). So have been working back and forth between the two, to keep each thing moving forward.
I like to be like my plants, and move with the sun. My little loom room is sunny in the morning, and the room with the bigger loom is sunny in the afternoon.(if the sun cooperates,that is!)

Here's what's on my little loom. It's a hemp warp, and I'm using a silk yarn for the weft from Habu Textiles (candy store of fiber!!!). Creating textures in cloth is so much fun. I'm excited to see how this combination will dye once it's off the loom. I think there's 4 yds. on here....would have to look in my notes.
Right now I have to get some pieces ready to ship to a show that's opening in NJ soon -- What the Fiber! It's great to have that coming up, along with having work in an exciting show in Burlington,VT at BCA called Textured.
Also have been busy planning some exhibits with our VT SDA group. I feel lucky to have so many opportunities to share my work!
