Belated Happy 2020!
Long time no posts! (it looks like I only did two blog postings in 2019. Bummer! but I forgive myself) = Because on the upside, I've been getting a lot of work done...Wish I were better at keeping all things moving forward, but alas, I'm full of flaws...

Hopefully I can give a good run-down here on art pieces that were in progress, plus share some new ones that are also now in progress. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, we'll go with pictures :)    (...with captions of course!)

In 2019 I finished two large pieces, fourteen small pieces, and one medium piece; with a lot of others in some stage or another started (2 more large, 4 medium, 11-15 small, plus the ikat panels that are basically done but I'm waiting on the reeds to hang them from).

Plus I also found time to experiment! And stretch my boundaries/comfort-zone a little bit, by getting slightly three dimensional, but not quite.... (look for the needle weaving on shuttles and a woven box in progress). Baby steps, we'll see if they become anything interesting...

Here's a photo gallery below, showing some of that progress - Enjoy!

And there are still other pieces that I've shown in past blog posts that are waiting for their next steps - mostly the stitching part....So there's a lot in progress. Wish me luck getting things done!! I'll need it  :)

This summer I'll have a solo show that I'm really excited about! and it's intimidating too, in that I don't know how much I can  accomplish for it. But with some luck, a lot of diligence/follow through--and probably most important will be good time management--it will all come together okay (crossing fingers!)

...Well, I'll wrap this up as the snow comes down heavy right now.  Gotta get back to some stitching!!

But before I go, here's
proof that occasionally (not too often truthfully) I get outside to play, here's a photo from one of the few times I've cross country skied this winter. Haven't done it that much, but more than last year when I hurt my wrist badly...Today my outdoor adventure might just be shoveling, ha!

Happy Winter everybody!
Please get in touch with any comments or questions, I love hearing from folks
:)

I love your work, and it's intriguing to be able to see things in process. Snooping around on your website is such an inspiration, and a constructive way (I think) to spend time when I'm in procrastination mode. Now, duly inspired, it's back to the loom for me. Thank you!

Hi Ruth - Thank you so much for your note! :)
I really appreciate your kind words on my artwork - it's always great to learn when someone connects with it and/or finds inspiration!
Happy Weaving, and also wishing you a happy and healthy winter-time!
:) Karen
