This is a recently finished stitched painting. I've been trying to work with textured acrylic mediums a little more, to get more familiar with their possibilities. I like the idea of introducing my fabrics and/or stitching (or both) to them.
I haven't titled this one yet...but it's an acrylic painting with walnut ink and hand stitching. it does not have any of my fabrics.
It's 6" x 6", so small but I hope it can still draw in the viewer.
Below this shot is a detail image, and then some shots of the piece during various stages. I wish I'd taken shots every step of the way, but I am not the best at documenting my process. (the new phone/camera is helping me get better a little anyway!)

the hand stitching areas are the small pale yellow marks on the upper left, and also the darkest green longer stitches, found in that same upper left area.
